I strongly believe there was another cover which inspired Sandy Lam to cover it! Original's intro & outro were with seaside-sounds!

Even though I agree that the song is a bit slow (for my taste), but I think it matches with the mood it tried to create, somewhat 滄桑 feel, kind of in the same genre as 一首獨唱的歌原版 by 中村雅俊. Despite I am a big of Sandy, her vocal was way too green for this song back then, I rather prefer the original.
