A right song picked to cover by Faye. It is almost like written for her, I mean the sound and the mood are just so Faye. Without disappointing the audience, she also did a marvelous job performing the song. The arrangement is almost identical. I like both versions to be honest.
Thank you for the post! I don't know this great song. I like the original more! I didn't hear a word on Faye's! Mumbling & Mandarin is double that hard for me to follow! Maybe a Cantonese Version would be easier for me ;P
Oh, there was! 王菲 - 花事了

Still a great choice to cover! Thank you, Faye, for introducing us to Sophie Zelmani's music. But I love Faye's arrangements! 郭亮 did a great job!
Anyone has the [C] version (花事了) to share?
I actually have every single CDs of Faye, but I just forgot about the cantonese version of this song already. I mean, in her later career, his focus was pretty much on the mandarin songs on each album. Even though there is always a few Cantonese versions here and there came as bonus tracks on the HK edition. But they are not much different from the Mandarin versions at all. So, I never really paid much attention to them.
I think the only songs from her later albums that I like the Cantonese versions better than the Mandarin versions were 郵差 and 給自己的情書.
Oh forgot to mention, I have added 花事了.
i like the version by Faye. the mumbles at the end of the song, Faye sang it very interesting...sounds like almost non-english...
i actually thought it was some wordless mumbling before i heard the original version...
@discowayne, which part? M or C version?

From 3:50 on both version:
Yes, I'm going home.
I must hurry home,
Where your life goes on.
So I'm going home.
Going home alone.
And your life goes on.
@ Benny, thanks for C-version!
I definitely like Faye's more! The arrangements were great. After a couple of listens I started to recognize words from her Mandarin mumbling! Still C-version is easier for a lazy me ;D
