I have always loved "Night Labyrinth" (夜迷宮) when it came out 20 years ago!
Never thought I could find the original! Benny was on the right track! But I narrowed it down to this album! Unfortunately no preview could be found! So I took the risk & found this great treasure!
Most HK artists would opt for the singles/(huge) hits. But this time Shirley chose for this relatively unknown track to cover! Great job, Shirley! Something really stupid was the her record company (Polygram) replaced the album version with the dub version. It's almost all her compilation-CD's! Only a few featuring the original album version!
I prefer Shirley's version more! The arragements are so much better! If Sabine Sabine had released it as a single! The single probably would received a remix treatment. Then it would sound better!
Of course, thanks for Griffin for finding and sharing this track. 其實我兩個版都喜歡, 編曲其實都幾似, except中文版沒有了那明顯的拍拍聲. 不過連那夜晚昆蟲叫聲都一樣有. 是一首難得的改編歌.
