I believe Danny Chan decided to cover this song dued to the success/release of "Leonard Bernstein Conducts West Side Story" in 1985 (but not covering from the 2:37 version here)!

But Danny was probably inspired by Streisand's single release 4:24! It's hard to come by (I don't find this version on CD)! Most common are the 4:55 (The Broadway Album) or 5:24 (One Voice) versions. Danny's version has the somewhat exact 0:57 "spacey"-intro! Please check out this gem!

Yeah, I know this is not exactly the Single Version! They clearly redid the intro with slightly different elements from the longer intro! This comes close to that, with the longer intro trimmed off! I'll rip the 2 tracks from my compilation CD's for you later! And I'll also try to see whether I can find downloads for the ones you mentioned! ;-)
