I have found that the original Julia Fordham I posted was a live version. I have just replaced that.

Love the english version, it is a beautiful song. Not sure it suits for a canto cover though. Too quiet in a way. The original was quiet too but ok, cause Julia Fordham's voice was able to create that tension of the song.

Sammi's file sounds strange: lots of hiss/space, more like a live/unplugged/demo! Never heard of the studio album version. So I can't tell. But I do hear a click@3.16! Cover has 2 humming parts @ 0.10~0.30 & 1.46~2.22! That explains why it's about 1 min longer (3:42) than Julia's (2:49)! Or maybe there is a live interpretation by Julia with humming! Perhaps it's Invisible War (live) 4:12 on Julia Fordham: Live (Virgin Japan VJD-2501)! Don't like the humming-portions: I'd rather prefer the original.

I am not sure if 着 is a simplified word, cause even when I was studying in school in HK back in "those" days, 着 was still common in the textbook. Be noted that HK has been using traditional chinese all along.

「著」係「着」嘅異體字，當然另外仲有「顯著」「名著」嘅用法。我自己以前一直堅持用「着」，不過打速成唔方便，所以而家打電腦就貪方便一律用晒「著」。

I'm not an expert! So don't bite my head off ;P

I always search your provided cover & original titles to see whether mistakes were made (in typing for instance)! When googling 鄭秀文 - 隔着玻璃. Search results came back with 隔着玻璃歌词-郑秀文 or 隔著玻璃歌詞-鄭秀文! When using translate.google.com S>T it came back with 隔著玻璃! So I guess it's like Andy Lau's post:

"劉德華 - 沖出禁區" Mistake, it should be: 劉德華 - 衝出禁區
How do you rushing out of the restricted area? With water? Showering? Nope, running I guess!

GL Edit done: no humming + ending's click/pop fixed! The song has much more of the sphere/mood as the original!
