I have always loved this song. Ekin was/is a mediocre singer. But his record company back then, BMG, did a great job in marketing him with lots of supports like tv-series/movies/advertisements etc & of course choosing the best/quality songs for him! Made him a big selling artist for BMG. I prefer the original more because Ariel Rivera's performance was simply better!
Two posts with same song names. I thought it was kind of interesting to put them together. Besides, both are great songs anyway.
Unlike Patrick Tam's 愛難留 though, I actually like the Filipino original more than 鄭伊健's cover. It was first introduced to me by a Filipino friend of mine in HK, I recognized it right away that there were a couple songs of Ariel Rivera's album being covered by HK artists, including this track.
I used to sing this in Karaoke too. Oh boy, that was long time ago.
