Still kind of surprised how much 小林明子 sounds alike Karen Carpenters. No wonder Richard Carpenters helped producing her album City of Angels. The original and the covered version are actually very similar, 小林明子唱得當然好一點, but I actually like 鄭瑞芬's version a little more. Don't know why, just a feeling as I have listened to both of them back to back.

Although I like Fanny Cheng in general, but her voice/performance was kind of funny (tried to be teenage girl or something)! Akiko Kobayashi also reminds me Karen with the 1st English line when switching to Japanese Karen flew back to the heaven up above! Great song/great arrangements!
