Totally agreed with discowayne! I always start with the cover then the original! I felt weird listening to Jacky's! Then the original: WOW, millions time better! A few possible reasons Jacky failled into making a good cover of this:
*Cantonese isn't suitable for this;
*Jacky's voice was too strong, even when he sang softly, it hurt my ears;
*original was just brilliant.
Agree here too. I feel that the cantonese lyrics just sounds really awkward. Perhaps 學友 could have tried to sing this in mandarin, it could do some help, because it has less tones, it may sound smoother. Maybe. Buy anyhow, like original more.
