It's a nice discovery. I actually never notice this song back then. But not without a reason, Feel So Good was kind of a quiet album of Sammi, either there was not much promotion, or she had have a dive in her career. Anyhow, both versions sounds fantastic. I am amazed that the original was released 10 years earlier. Love it.
Loved Tanita's original! Heard Sammi's before. I didn't know neither that there was a whole decade between them. Perhaps Sammi or her producer heard the Tanita's 1996 remix & decided to cover her 1988 original. But with an "updated" arrangements! For sure inspired by the single version/edit 3:53 instead of the full length version 4:50!
Hmm, it's actually an alternate edit (with 3x More than twist in my sobriety @ the chorus & whole mid-section was cut out) of the full length version! I'll work on it!
