Never heard of this song before! A great song! Thanks for the post! Seishiro Kusunose's voice has similarity with Remus Choi (蔡一傑) ;P

Love both versions! 1986 original runs 4:49 with a different intro/arrangements (ha-ha-ha...)! Cover runs only 4:28 & has different intro/arrangements! So I guess there might be a single remix or someone else might have covered the song which inspired Grasshopper to cover!

When googling I found 楠瀬誠志郎 released an album [さよなら、また明日](SRCL-2263) in 1991/12/12 with lots of Remixes (newly arranged or perhaps re-recorded versions)! Track6 マリオ (=Japanese for Mario)! I hope someone has/can find it to confirm it!

When Grasshopper released 暗戀的代價 album, I was still a big fan of theirs. So I loved 戀愛預兆Mario very much. I wonder why they did do a cantonese version of it. It was common though back then that in their mandarin album, about 7-8 songs that are converted from their cantonese album plus a few brand new songs. I am glad that we have found the original. Love the original too much, to me, this is a happy sounding song.
