Oops, "sure" was missing! Delight 3:35 is the original! You post the wrong song! Just sent you! It was segued with tracks before/after! Unless you can find an image/flac of the whole CD. Otherwise my edited fade in/out-version is near perfect ;P

Without 黎小田 Michael Lai there was no 似水流年! It's like Anthony Lun with Sandy Lam's & Anita's songs! They were actually "co-written by". Original didn't fit in as a vocal performed song! So the arranger (Anthony/Michael) had to come up with additional music to make it work as a song!

Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure how I uploaded a wrong song. I actually found that album, so I got the Delight too, maybe from the same source. Anyway, I re-upload that now, also the other two originals. Check again.

You know, el, it could well be that Kitaro especially wrote the song for the film. You know, in those days, a composer wrote a song for another artist or a project like a film, sometimes they would make their own version and include in their album as well. Need to further check whether Kitaro released the album 西方 first (I think in 1984) or 阿梅 released 似水流年 first. Either I think it's interesting to put both of them together here.

1986 - Toward The West

So written for the movie! Michael Lai amended/adapted the pieces making the theme song for Anita Mui to sing! Kitaro released his version on his own album the year after!

Toward The West is the International Edition, there is a Japanese/Asia edition of Toward The West, called 西方, only written chinese character on the cover. I honestly read it somewhere that the Asia version was released earlier, and later Toward The West was released internationally in 1986 (since Kitaro moved to US then). And interestingly on the Wikipedia (japanese), they didn't list this album!

Anyway, I will see if I can find that page back where I saw the distinction of the Asia/International Edition of 西方.
