本來已經幾喜歡杜德偉的「嗨！BROTHER」, 覺得是一首幾特別的中文歌, 中文Raggae市面真的不多呢. 之後知道是久保田利伸的作品, 就更加多幾分好感了. 久保田利伸的funk味是可以在亞洲稱王的, 香港歌手改他的歌改得好的只有安仔, 學友同杜德偉, 幾個都是唱得之人.
I have Alex' CD! But I don't much recollection of it! Now listening to it again: funny, I believe it's his first (& only) reggae-style song!
Was there any single release of this song? The original is 5:22 while cover is only 4:08! Alex' version has cut the 0:27 intro off the original & the rest seemed still intact: so an early fade out!
Yeah, I also like most of Toshinobu Kubota's compositions! Also agree with Jacky/Andy/Alex covering his songs! But I believe Alex is the only one can carry this particular song! I don't see Andy & especially Jacky (singing): Yo yo yo... (that would be hilarious if there's promo MV's hahaha)! Like both the cover & the original! I'd prefer more the ballads & the dance tunes from Kubota!
